The School for Social Entrepreneurs franchise has launched a new branch in the West Midlands.
SSE is headed up by CEO Charles Rapson, a former Rover Group manager and online marketing specialist who’s also managing director of social enterprise Colebridge, helping them win new customers for the carpentry business.
The launch took place in Birmingham on Monday 16th September, where Mark Rogers, CEO of Solihull borough council, explained why the council had invested in the company.
With a simple approach, using action learning to support entrepreneurs with a conscience, SSE has established a long track record of success across the UK, Canada and Australia. It claims more than 1000 ‘Fellows’ – each of whom on average creates 34 jobs and twice as many volunteers, according to Rapson, with 85% of organisations it’s established, still extant.
